William I. Riggan, age 76, of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Riggan was an Industrial Arts teacher for the Georgetown Exempted Village Schools, was a substitute teacher in Brown and Clermont Counties and was a Korean War Navy veteran. He was born on September 30, 1929 in Williamson, West Virginia the son of the late William Ira and Myrtle E. (Cox) Riggan. He was also preceded in death by two sisters - Ruth Conner and Edith Pascucci.

Mr. Riggan is survived by his wife - Jody (Manning) Riggan; five children - William C. Riggan of Terra Haute, Indiana, Michael N. Riggan of Georgetown, Ohio, Robert R. Riggan of Georgetown, Ohio, Julia Lorraine Fletcher and husband, Charles of Bethel, Ohio and Rebecca Ranieri of Norristown, Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren, one sister - Laura Poland of Glouster Point, Virginia; one brother - Robert D. Riggan of Glouster Court House, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 17, 2006 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 A.M. Monday. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with military services by the Carey-Bavis American Legion Post #180.
