William H. Maynard

Mr. William H. Maynard, age 82 of Ripley, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran. He worked as a farmer and construction worker and was a member of The Pilgrim Holiness Church in Maysville, KY. He was born on August 16, 1922 in Mason County, KY. the son of the late Elmer T. And Emma Elizabeth (Bramel) Maynard. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Elizabeth Alice Maynard; one sister, Edna Prather; three brothers - Paul, Emmitt and Marvin Maynard.

Mr. Maynard is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Callie (Lewis) Maynard; two daughters - Tamma Kay Plymesser of Ripley, Ohio and Pamela Jean Green of Sardinia, Ohio; two sons - Elmer Thomas Maynard of Mobile, Alabama and Billy Hord Maynard of Ripley, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Violet Maynard of Maysville, KY.; one brother, Carl Maynard of Maysville, KY.; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2004 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. John Neu will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wedonia Cemetery in Wedonia, KY. Memorials may be made to: The American Cancer Society.
