Mr. Verlin R. "Tiny" Beath, age 71 of Ripley, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a truck driver and farmer and could be seen selling peaches in front of the tobacco warehouses in Ripley for many years. He was born July 17, 1933 in Bourneville, Ohio the son of the late James Joseph and Ida (Skeen) Beath. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Shinkle and three brothers - Howard, Heber and Virgil Beath.
Mr. Beath is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Frakes) Beath of Ripley, Ohio; one son, James R. Beath of Winchester, Ohio; two daughters - Donna M. Hart of Fairfax, Ohio and Sandy Meyers of Mowrystown, Ohio; two stepsons - Randy Goodman of Georgetown, Ohio and Tony Goodman of West Union, Ohio; three stepdaughters - Sandy Byar of Reading, Ohio, Dena Hamilton of Maysville, KY. and Trixie Clifton of Georgetown, Ohio; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; fourteen stepgrandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild; one sister, Bernice Duff of Greenfield, Ohio; two brothers - Homer Beath of Chillicothe, Ohio and Harold Beath of Danville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. James Ritchie will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2004 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio.
