Russell Herman Seidel

Russell Herman Seidel, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio died Friday, December 10, 2004 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Seidel was a farmer, a member of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church for seventy-six years where he served as an Elder and as a member of the Session. He also was a life time member of the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery Association and the Farm Bureau. He was born on June 6, 1916 in Pleasant Township in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Josie (Courts) Seidel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Katherine (Winters) Seidel in 1978 and two brothers, Lloyd and Carl Seidel.

Mr. Seidel is survived by one daughter - Marilyn Bowen of Georgetown, Ohio; one granddaughter - Rachel (Mike) Mays of Georgetown, Ohio; two great grandchildren - Clarissa and Devin; three step grandchildren - Shana (Dave) Cowdrey of Hamersville, Ohio; Gene (Cheryl) Bowen and daughters of Port Orchard, Washington and Curtis Bowen and family of Pass Christian, Mississippi; two sisters - Emily Decker of North Carolina and Winona Seidel of Georgetown, Ohio; his Mother-in-law - Gladys Winters of Georgetown, Ohio; special friends - Larry Swearingen of Georgetown, Ohio and Betty Weitlauf of Russellville, Ohio and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at the Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Rev. Matthew Long will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Monday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 501 S.
