Ronald Lee Kidd, age 62 of Bethel, Ohio died Sunday, December 12, 2004 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Kidd was president of the Kidd Auto Dealer Group in Amelia, in Cincinnati on Colerain Avenue and in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, where he had worked for the past thirty years. He was a 1960 graduate of Ripley High School in Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Kidd was well known for his love of horses and his horsemanship. His personal greatest achievement was watching his grandchildren show horses. He also had a world champion three year old Tennessee Walking Horse. Mr. Kidd was born on May 16, 1942 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Vern and Audrey (Cantrell) Kidd. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Kidd in 1998
Mr. Kidd is survived by one daughter - Rebecca Kidd Day and husband Jason of Bellbuckle, Tennessee; one son - Mark Jason Kidd and wife Samantha of Mt. Orab, Ohio; five grandchildren - Jordan, Addison and Dylan Kidd, Austin Hass and Makenzie Miller; his long time companion - Lou Ann Oberschlake; two brothers - George Kidd of Norwalk, Ohio and Vern "June" Kidd of Milford, Ohio; one sister - Mary Fritz of Youngstown, Ohio and his former wife - Jeannine Kidd.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home, 1011 S. Second Street, Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Eldon Howard will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 - 9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Ohio Valley Manor Activities Fund, US Route 68, Ripley, Ohio 45167 or to the Tennessee Walking Horse Trainers Association, P.O. Box 61, Shelbyville, Tennessee 37162.
