Rita Rossman Spiller

Mrs. Rita Rossman Spiller, age 85, of Ripley, Ohio died Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Mrs. Spiller was the owner of Rienert's Restaurant in Ripley and was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley. She was born in Ripley, Ohio on August 28, 1921 the daughter of the late Joseph and Henrietta (Koewler) Haitz. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Allie Rossman and second husband, George Spiller.

Mrs. Spiller is survived by one daughter - Linda Thacker and husband, Homer of Ripley, Ohio; one son - Jim Rossman and wife, Leandra of Ripley, Ohio; one grandson - Scott Thacker of Ripley, Ohio; one granddaughter - Melissa Rider and husband, Scott of Independence, Kentucky; one brother - Albert Haitz of Ripley, Ohio and one sister Ruthie Ward of Greenfield, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 P.M. Monday evening at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Ohio Valley Manor Activities Fund or the Ripley Fire Department.
