Raymond L. Herrmann

Mr. Raymond L. Herrmann, age 84 of Ripley, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a retired equipment operator from The Ohio Dept. Of Transportation, a United States Army WWII Veteran and a former member of the Ripley Fire Dept., where he served for nearly thirty years. Mr. Herrmann was born on January 23, 1921 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Walter J. And Rosa (Germann) Herrmann. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Brandenburg; three sisters- Bernadine Donnelly, Alma Rush and Clara Fryer; three brothers - Richard, George and Wendell Herrmann.

Mr. Herrmann is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Ruth (Boone) Herrmann; one son - Joel Ray Herrmann and wife Mary of Higginsport, Ohio; three daughters - Luanne Neary and husband Keith of Ripley, Ohio, Jennifer Herrmann of Ripley, Ohio and Jackie Armstrong and fiancAC., Ed Catalano of Milford, Ohio; eight grandchildren - Seth and Rachel Armstrong, Jessica Coffman, Sarah, Kenny and Amanda Brandenburg, Siarah and Joel Herrmann, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Stephen and Angela Grace Jones; one brother, John Herrmann of Ripley, Ohio.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 2005 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. David Wirth will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio.
