Minnie Elizabeth Adamson

Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Adamson, age 73 of Ripley, Ohio died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at The Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. She was a past member of the Georgetown Church of Christ, a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maysville, Kentucky. During her life, Mrs. Adamson held many jobs that included: an assembly worker at U.S. Shoe Corp. in Ripley, a waitress at the original Brown's Restaurant in Aberdeen, an OB/GYN nurse aide at Brown Co. General Hospital, Adamson Dairy Cooperative, Adamson Water Hauling and most recently provided child care at Teddy Bear Day Care.

Mrs. Adamson was born on December 29, 1931 in Adams County, Ohio the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary (Crump) Maroney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Leon Adamson; a stepfather, Floyd Clickner; and one brother, Anthony Maroney.

Mrs. Adamson is survived by two daughters - Velvet Lorain Frye and husband Terry Lee of Mt, Orab, Ohio and Elizabeth Adamson Stevens and husband Jeffery Paul of Georgetown, Ohio; five grandchildren - Sean Patrick McErlane, Harrison Blake Moore, Erikka Breanna Stevens, Samantha Brooke Stevens and Jeffery Barrak Stevens.

Following cremation, there will be a memorial mass said at 5:30 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2005 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. There will be a memorial dinner immediately following the mass at the St. Michael the Archangel Parish Hall next to the church. Flowers may be sent directly to the parish hall at 36 North 4th Street, Ripley, Ohio 45167. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Hope or The American Cancer Society.
