Merlin Gene Day

Merlin Gene Day, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. He was a retired lineman for Cincinnati Bell, enjoyed camping and working with his hands, gardening and creating furniture out of trees he cut down. His greatest joy was his family that he loved deeply. Merlin was born September 17, 1936 in Mt.Orab, Ohio the son of the late Henton and Bertha (Stivers) Day. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son – Michael Day and two sisters.

Mr. Day is survived by his loving wife of 70 years – Nancy Sue (Myers) Day whom he married December 29, 1954; two children – Deborah Dall and husband Greg of New Richmond, Ohio and Mark Day and wife Donna of Georgetown, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Jeff Day and wife Missy of Hernando, Mississippi, Greg Day and wife Larin of North Port, Florida, Jacob Dall and wife Lauren of New Richmond, Ohio, A.J. Day of Milford, Ohio; Tran Day and wife Christy, Katie Day, Giavy Day and HaiKy Day all of Cincinnati, Ohio and ten great grandchildren – Chandler, Keelan, Lilly, John, Lenox, Paxton, Jackson, Clayton, Rory and Vincent.

There will be no services. Private interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
