Mary Eleanor Thompson

Mary Eleanor Thompson, age 97 of Georgetown, Ohio died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Villa Georgetown in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a graduate of Miami University and was employed by the Ohio State University for fifteen years as the house mother of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, the Research Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was born on January 4, 1910 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Roy and Stella (Carle) Trigg. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Thompson and two brothers, Bill and Carl Trigg.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter - Marianne Moran and son-in-law - Garry Fletcher of Georgetown, Ohio; four grandchildren - Angie Pille and husband Adam of Cincinnati, Ohio, Amie Bird and husband Ben of New Richmond, Ohio, Brent Fletcher of Georgetown, Ohio and Dwayne Moran and wife Christine of Batavia, Ohio and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Ruth Dunn will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 401 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
