Mary E. Ellis

Mary E. Ellis, age 89, of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Ellis was a long time secretary for her husband, William Russell Ellis during his 30 years as Brown County Engineer. She was born in Georgetown, Ohio on February 13, 1916 the daughter of the late James and Lizzie (Salt) Croswell. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Russell Ellis in 2000; three brothers - Gaddis, James and Ralph Croswell and one sister - Lucile Croswell.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by three children - William R. (Bill) Ellis and wife, Marge of Georgetown, Ohio, Bonnie A. Paine and husband, Bob of Georgetown, Ohio and Dennis J. Ellis and wife, Elaine; three grandchildren - William Wade Ellis and wife, Beth Ann, Lauri (Paine) Roades and husband, Vince, and Amber (Paine) Chandler and husband, Tim; and six grandchildren - Carlee and Caroline Ellis, Ashton, Colston and Savanna Roades and Kirsten Chandler.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, July 1, 2005 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown United Methodist Church, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
