Marjorie Florine Owens

Miss Marjorie Florine Owens, age 81, of Ripley, Ohio died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Maysville, Kentucky. Ms. Owens was part owner of the White & Owens grocery store in Germantown, Kentucky in the late 40's and 50's, she also worked for Alvin Cummins Queen Chevrolet, Forest Poe Insurance in Maysville, Kentucky, a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Ripley, Ohio and was a pianist for many years. She was born on February 26, 1924 in Higginsport, Ohio the daughter of the late Willie B. And Florine (Hamilton) Owens. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Darrell K. Owens.

Miss Owens is survived by one brother, Wayne B. Owens and wife, Patsy of Xenia, Ohio; three nieces - Gayle Ingram and husband, Jeryl of Maysville, Kentucky, Sue Ann Fisher and husband Jeff of Dayton, Ohio and Debbie Baker and husband Clint of Goshen, Ohio; one nephew, Wayne Owens, Jr. And wife, Beth of Xenia, Ohio; sister-in-law, Bette White Owens of Germantown, Kentucky and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Revs. Jaime Wirth, Ken Molter and Mason Harrod will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 P.M. Tuesday evening. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mt. Olivet, Kentucky. If desired, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Hope or the Centenary United Methodist Church in Ripley, Ohio.
