Mabel Joanne Downing

Mabel Joanne Downing, age 70 of New Hope, Ohio died Monday, February 13, 2006 at her daughter's home in Felicity, Ohio. Mrs. Downing was retired from sales. She was born on February 18, 1935 in Neals Corner, Ohio the daughter of the late Leroy and Mabel (Hiler) Lucas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Terry F. Downing and one daughter, Nicole Eileen Herget.
Mrs. Downing is survived by four daughters - Deborah Shaw (Brian) of Florida, Melissa Downing of Hamersville, Ohio, Tara Downing of Felicity, Ohio and Mindi Frizzell (Jeff) of Georgetown, Ohio; one son - Jason Downing of Hamersville, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law - John P. and Bette Lucas of New Hope, Ohio; eight grandchildren - Amanda, Joshua, Robbi, Courtney, Alex, Dereck, Travis and Trinity and one nephew - Lee Lucas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Jesse McKinzie will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 415 A½ Home Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
