Leonard Leo Rice, age 87 of Higginsport, Ohio, died Monday, September 20, 2021 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. Mr. Rice was born September 30, 1933 in Higginsport, Ohio the son of the late Jess and Nancy (Coleman) Rice. He was also preceded in death by a son – Leonard Leo Rice, Jr., one sister – Alline Hines; four brothers – William Rice. Jesse Rice, Charles Rice and Phillip Rice.
Mr. Rice is survived by his loving wife of nearly sixty-one years – Violet E. (Manley) Rice; one son – David Leonard Rice (Karen); three granddaughters – Dawn, Morgan and Lauren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow the funeral service in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
