Katie J. (Bick) Menard

Katie Jan Menard, age 67 of Bethel, Ohio died Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the secretary for Hamersville Elementary and Middle School for 32 years and a member of DAR. Katie was born September 21, 1956 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of William “Bill” and Janet (Smith) Bick of Bethel, Ohio. She was preceded in death her husband of 38 years – Stephen A. Menard in 2013 whom she married June 21, 1975 and one daughter – Rebecca Menard in 2000.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Menard is survived by two children – Rachel Hacker and husband Jason of Fayetteville, Ohio and Matt Menard and wife Jamie of Bethel, Ohio; four grandchildren – Kane Hacker, Brenden Hacker, Dakota Newberry and Jade Menard; one brother – Joe Bick and wife Pam of Milford, Ohio; two brothers-in-law – Mike Menard and wife Kathy and Mark Menard both of Hamersville, Ohio; one nephew – Bret Bick and wife Lisa; one niece – Cassie Whitehouse and husband Jeff; her companion of 8 years – Ron Daniel of Amelia, Ohio; her fur baby – Annie and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and her HEMS family that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Mike Starkey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Katie’s memory to the Hamersville Elementary and Middle School, P.O Box 205, Hamersville, Ohio 45130 to help children in need.
