John R. (Bob) Lucas

John R. (Bob) Lucas, age 73 of Hamersville, Ohio died Friday, November 24, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Lucas operated the Lucas Carry Out in Feesburg, the Lucas Trucking company and later was a bus driver with Croswell Tours. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 in Ripley, Ohio and the F.O.E. # 2293 in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born on December 31, 1932 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Wuerdeman) Lucas. He was also preceded in death by one son, Glenn Charles (Teak) Lucas; two brothers, Charles (Bud) Lucas and Paul Lucas and three sisters, Evelyn Lucas, Dorothy Massie and Marguerite Milligan.

Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife - Shirley (Wuerdeman) Lucas; four sons - Greg Lucas and wife Brenda of Russellville, Ohio, Rob Lucas and wife Sondra of Felicity, Ohio, Chris Lucas and wife Kim of Hamersville, Ohio and Scott Lucas and wife Kelly of Hamersville, Ohio; two daughters - Vicki Chambers and friend Gary of Georgetown, Ohio and Joan Bolin and husband Jamie of Hamersville, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister - Patsy Holland of Georgetown, Ohio and three brothers - Bill Lucas of Ripley, Ohio, Jack Lucas of Cincinnati, Ohio and Donnie Lucas of Arizona.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Don Young will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery with veteran services by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367. If desired, memorials may be made to the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post # 367 Christmas Fund, 2944 Elk River Road, Ripley, Ohio 45167 or to the F.O.E. #2293 Christmas Cheer, in Care of Sue Osborne, 600 Mt. Orab Pike, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
