John Philip Lucas

John Philip Lucas, age 70 of New Hope, Ohio died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at his home. Mr. Lucas was retired from Siemens where he worked as a machinist . He was born on February 2, 1937 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Lee Roy and Mabel (Hiler) Lucas. He was also preceded in death by one son, Philip Shane Lucas; one brother, John Paul Jones; one sister, Joanne Downing and two nieces- Nicole Herget and Deborah Shaw.
Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bette Lou (Neal) Lucas; two sons - Lee Lucas and wife Christy of Georgetown, Ohio and Bill Brinkman of Fayetteville, Ohio; two daughters - Luann Ulrich and husband Raymond of Cincinnati, Ohio and Lisa Wells of St. Martin, Ohio; eight grandchildren- Logan, Layne and Landen Lucas, Cyndi Hertzog, Marissa Meyer, RJ Ulrich and Brandon and Tia Brinkman; three nieces - Melissa Downing , Tara Downing and Mindi Frizzell and husband Jeff ; one nephew, Jason Downing and several cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Mt.Orab Life Squad, 107 Spice Street, Mt.Orab, Ohio 45154.
