John Robert (Bob) Corbin, age 80, of Hamersville, Ohio died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Corbin was the owner and operator of Corbin's Store in Hamersville, Ohio, he was a World War II Navy veteran, member of the Bible Chapel United Church of Christ in Hamersville and the American Legion. He was born in Bethel, Ohio on January 11, 1926 the son of the late Russell Lowell and Marie (Milner) Corbin. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Marguerite Corbin.
Mr. Corbin is survived by his wife, Frances Elaine (Gray) Corbin; two sons - Alan Corbin and wife, Carolyn of Georgetown, Ohio and Phillip Corbin and wife Priscilla of New Richmond, Ohio; one daughter - Elaine Weigel and husband Robert of Norwood, Ohio; four grandchildren - Jennifer Lucas and husband Steve of Mt. Orab, Ohio. Zac Corbin of Georgetown, Ohio, Christopher Pennington of Norwood, Ohio and Mitchell Corbin of Mt. Orab, Ohio; one great granddaughter - Mya Lucas; one brother - Roland Corbin of Clearwater, Florida and one sister - Jean Tucker of Hamersville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Bill Godby will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday evening. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
