Jerry W. Hammons

Jerry Wayne Hammons, age 77 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Hospice of Cincinnati East in Anderson Township, Ohio. He was retired from the United States Navy, a Vietnam War and Gulf War veteran and a member of the Fairview Church in Georgetown, Ohio and the Gideons International. Jerry was born January 29, 1945 in Portsmouth, Ohio the son of the late Charles Edward and Edna Annie (Woodrow) Hammons. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years – Norma Jean (Fry) Hammons and one daughter – Patricia Hammons.

Mr. Hammons is survived by three grandchildren – Crystal Mclain of Georgetown, Ohio, John Mclain of North Carolina and Jessica Joyner and husband Brian of North Carolina and five great grandchildren – Gracie and Noah Joyner and John, Alex and Finley Mclain.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Confidence Cemetery gazebo with military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio.  The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
