Helen Louise Neu

Helen Lucille Neu, age 90 of Georgetown, Ohio died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Mrs. Neu provided child care for many years and was a member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church. She was born on April 24, 1916 in Manchester, Ohio the daughter of the late Richard and Bessie (Young) Cox. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Neu in 1982, one daughter, Roberta Roop, one sister, Dorothy DeVaney and one brother, Richard Watson Cox.

Mrs. Neu is survived by one daughter - Glenna Smith and husband Steve of Hamersville, Ohio; four grandchildren - Brian, Shawn and Scott Roop and Michael Smith; two great grandchildren - Ashley and Brandon Roop; five sisters - Mary Carrington of Georgetown, Ohio, Kathryn Bieghly and Meredythe Purdin both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ruth Scott of Tipp City, Ohio and Louise Cook of Dayton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Georgetown United Methodist Church. Rev. Pete Warren will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown United Methodist Church, 217 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
