Harry Lee Graves age 71 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Graves was a policeman for many years and was the Georgetown Chief of Police from 1983 until his retirement in 1995. He also served the Georgetown residents as a council member. He was Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 1997 until 2003 and was a member of the Georgetown Ward from May 7, 1960 until his death. Mr. Graves was an Army Korean War veteran and was a member of the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 and the Georgetown Lodge F&AM #72. He was born on June 12, 1935 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Harry Corbett and Edna Katherine (Shoemaker) Graves. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Allen and Mary Lu Williams and four brothers, Troy, James Robert, Willie Joe Graves and an infant brother.

Mr. Graves is survived by his wife - Etta L. (Evans) Graves, they were married on August 18, 1956; six children - Shane Samuel Graves of Winchester, Ohio, Shawna Kay Glassco of Amelia, Ohio, Timothy Lee Graves of Georgetown, Ohio, Darla Jean Graves of Georgetown, Ohio, Colon James Graves of Germany and Keith Corbett Graves of Anderson, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; one sister - Helen White of Georgetown, Ohio and one brother - Lowell Graves of Buford, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3581 State Route 125 in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will also be at the church from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with veteran services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180. Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
