Harold Lee Neu

Harold Lee Neu, age 77, of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Neu was the former owner of Richards Supermarket in Ripley, Ohio, was a member of the Eastern Brown Board of Education for 28 years, a member, Elder and treasurer of the Russellville Church of Christ and a World War II Army veteran. He was born in Ripley, Ohio on February 25, 1927 the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Viva (Rossman) Neu. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Delpha June (Thompson) Neu, one son - Scott Carpenter and one sister, Helen Holton.
Mr. Neu is survived by his wife, Freda F. (Wallingford) Neu; four sons - Terry Neu and wife Teresa of West Union, Ohio, Gary Neu and wife Sue of West Union, Ohio, Stephen Neu and wife Donna of Sardinia, Ohio and John Neu and wife Donna of Ripley, Ohio; one daughter, Tamala Mulkey and husband Ron of Fairbanks, Alaska;one step-daughter - Sharon Palestine and husband, Michael of Santa Fe, New Mexico; 18 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, two brothers - Bobby Neu of Lucasville, Ohio and Roger Neu of Lawrenceburg, Indiana and two sisters - Bernice Frebis and Mary Neu both of Ripley, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Don Young will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday evening. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Russellville Church of Christ.
