Hanson Elliot Jones

Hanson Elliot Jones, age 89 of Georgetown, Ohio, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at The Villa Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a farmer and a United States Army World War II Veteran. He was a member of The Courts Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 of Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Jones was born on September 4, 1917 in Olive Branch, Kentucky, the son of the late Mason and Ollie (Mitchell) Jones. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Amos and Gilbert Jones and four sisters - Ethel Hunt, Irene Whisman, Beulah Jones and Christine Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by six daughters - Beulah Bauer of Cedar Hill, Mo., Judy Mason of Carl Junction, Mo., Karen Seip of Georgetown, Ohio, Donna Elfers of Georgetown, Ohio, Vicky Eubanks of Hamersville, Ohio and Debbie Bekett of Seaman, Ohio; three sons - Benny Jones of Dittmer, Mo., Hanson Jones, Jr. of Ripley, Ohio and Jeff Jones of Hazelhurst, Ga.; 30 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one brother, Delmar Jones of Russellville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 22 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Lowell Mason will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home in Ripley. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Villa Georgetown Activities Fund, 8065 Dr. Faul Rd.
