Mrs. Gretchen J. Cook, age 66, of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, June 14, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Cook was a retired teacher from the Bethel-Tate school district. She received her Bachelor's Degree in education from Bowling Green State University and her Master's Degree from the University of Cincinnati. She was also a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for over eighteen years, a lifetime Red Cross volunteer for Clermont County, a member of the National Republican Committee and a lifetime member of the Brown County Republican Party Committee. She was born on July 20, 1937 in Marion, Ohio the daughter of the late Lawrence Maurice and Maude Glenore (Williams) Carey.
Mrs. Cook is survived by one son, Marc Cook of Georgetown, Ohio; three daughters - Beth Ann Lahmer of Georgetown, Ohio, ClyDean Andrea Weber of West Chester, Ohio and Judith Kathleen Cook of Georgetown, Ohio; six grandchildren - Crystal and Marc Cook, Heather and Brooke Lahmer and Kirsten and Lance Weber.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 18, 2004 at the Georgetown Baptist Church, 794 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio. Revs. Dave Warren and Cliff Myers will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgetown Baptist Church Building Fund, 794 South Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
