Grace Cecelia Crawford

Mrs. Grace Cecelia Crawford, age 86 of Higginsport, Ohio, died Thursday, August 30, 2006 at The Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. She was a homemaker, a member of The Higginsport Christian Church and a member of The Citizen's for Improved Community in Higginsport, Ohio. She also wrote the Higginsport community news section for The Ripley Bee and The News Democrat for many years. Mrs. Crawford was born on October 19, 1919 in Blanchester, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Bess) Hiser. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Crawford; two infant daughters; one daughter, Ruby Kirschner; two grandchildren - Carol Sue Kirschner and Thomas Michael Kirschner; two sisters.

Mrs. Crawford is survived by two sons - Harold Crawford of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Dale Crawford of Kimbolton, Ohio; one sister, Lorena Fickens of Ft. Myers, Florida; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2006 at The Higginsport Christian Church in Higginsport, Ohio. Rev. Bill Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday at the church. Interment will be in Shinkle's Ridge Cemetery near Higginsport, Ohio. Memorials may be made to: The Ripley Life Squad, The Higginsport Christian Church or The American Cancer Society. Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio is serving the family.
