Gertrude Eleanor Regenstein, age 92 of Ripley, Ohio died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. She worked at The U.S. Shoe Factory in Ripley for many years and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. She was born on May 28, 1913 in Brown County, Ohio the daughter of the late Edward and Carrie (Greiner) Hauke. She was also preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Earl Regenstein and one son, Jim Regenstein.
Mrs. Regenstein is survived by one daughter, Carol Fultz of Ripley, Ohio; two sons - William (Bill) Regenstein and Tom Regenstein, both of Ripley; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three sisters - Hilda Steele, Mildred Gast and Edna Haitz; four brothers - Ray, Richard, Hubert and Stanley Hauke.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2006 at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 9:45 A.M. Saturday morning at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
