Gerald Lloyd Fite

Gerald Lloyd Fite, age 63 of Virden, Illinois, formerly of Brown County, Ohio died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at St. John's Hospice in Springfield, Illinois. Mr. Fite was a retired US Government employee with the federal Crop, Inc. in risk management. He was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Orab High School, a 1965 graduate of Wilmington College and the Ohio State University in 1968. He was born on February 13, 1941 in New Hope, Ohio the son of the late Charles Lloyd and Esther (Ogden) Fite.
Mr. Fite is survived by his wife - Retta Mae (Ralston) Fite; one son - Charles William (Mary Elizabeth) Fite of Sardinia, Ohio; four daughters - Juliann Marie (Robert) Wentz of Columbus, Ohio, Elizabeth Ann (Larry) Cleeton of Springfield, Illinois, Christina Mae Fite of Columbus, Ohio and Rebecca Lynn (Jeff) Skeese of Ft. Myers, Florida; eight grandchildren - Melissa Ann, Kayla Nicole, Jacob William, Tiffany Elizabeth, Roger Lee, Jessica Mae, Bryan A. and Victor M. and one brother - Tommy William Fite of Georgetown, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 20, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Thomas Friskney will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Monday. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
