Garnet Jean Walker

Garnet Jean Walker, age 65 of Ripley, Ohio died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at the Meadowwood Care Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She had worked at U.S. Shoe for many years and also the Mecca CafAC. in Ripley. She was born on August 20, 1940 the daughter of the late Harry and Eleanor (Fetters) Prather. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Jefferson Patterson and two sisters, Frances Laypool and Debbie Lunsford.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Lovell Walker; two daughters, Beverly Stacy of Carrollton, KY. And Dianna Pendland of Manchester, Ohio; one son, David Brown of Winchester, Ohio; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three brothers - Calvin Prather of Higginsport, Ohio, Charlie Prather of Felicity, Ohio and Kenneth Prather of California.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 16 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
