Freda Ruth (Yockey) Hendrixson

Freda Ruth Hendrixson, age 98 of Middletown, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Hillspring Rehabilitation in Springboro, Ohio. She was born October 15, 1926 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late Thurman and Elizabeth (Prine) Yockey.  Freda was a beloved, Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She embraced her most cherished role as a stay-at-home mom, dedicating herself to nurturing and raising her three children, Ruth Ann, Terry Lynn and Melissa Kay. Freda loved spending time with family for Holidays, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, crafts, but most of all going fishing in Canada and many other fishing trips. Freda and her husband, Gerald, raised huge gardens every year and she canned hundreds of jars of fruit and vegetables. She also enjoyed her flower gardens of zinnia, geraniums and marigolds. Besides her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband – Gerald E. Hendrixson in 2013, one son-in-law – Garold “Gary” Schudel, three brothers – Harold Yockey, Donald Yockey and Delmar Yockey and one sister – Catherine Bush.

Mrs. Hendrixson is survived by three children – Ruth Ann Schudel of Centerville, Ohio, Terry Hendrixson and wife Sherri of Monroe. Ohio and Melissa Wolf and husband Gary of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Renee Euler and husband Nathan of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matthew Boston  and wife Shannon of Littleton, Colorado, Nicholas Boston and wife Leah of Wildwood, Missouri, Joshua Hendrixson and wife Beverly of Trenton, Ohio, Morgann Hendrixson and McKensie Hendrixson both of Monroe, Ohio, Brandyn Wolf of Moraine, Ohio and Brittany Wolf of Dayton, Ohio; five great grandchildren – Cheyanne Hendrixson, Eli and Evelyn Boston and Parker and Isla Boston and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Peace Lutheran Church, 10581 Day Hill-Arnheim Road, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Pastor Laura Schreffler will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
