Frank N. Holton, age 86 of Georgetown, Ohio died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Holton was a retired Army veteran, serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. After his military career he was employed by the Department of Defense. Mr. Holton was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite and was a two time commander of the American Legion in Virginia. He was born in Ripley, Ohio on April 24, 1919 the son of the late Nicholas Lewis and Mary L. (Liggett) Holton. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Holton and one sister, Mary Effie Holton Crossmock.
Mr. Holton is survived by his wife - Carol (Brooks) Holton; two brothers - Chester A. Holton of Russellville, Ohio and Joe Holton of Decatur, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Don Young will officiate. Visitation will be from 12-2 P.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with veteran services by the Carey-Bavis American Legion Post #180. If desired, memorials may be made to the Brown County General Hospital Foundation, the Georgetown Life Squad or the American Heart Association.
