Frances Virginia Metzger

Mrs. Frances Virginia Metzger, age 79, of Milford, Ohio formerly of West Union, Ohio died Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Metzger was a homemaker, enjoyed doing volunteer work with the senior citizens in and around Brown County, Ohio and was a member of the Little Chapel Ministry in Milford, Ohio. She graduated from Georgetown High School and attained an Associates Degree from Southern State Community College that she was very proud of. She was born in Mason County, Kentucky on September 26, 1924 the daughter of the late Clarence and Gaye French (Henderson) Swanger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Scott Metzger in 1996 and two brothers - Everett Lee Swanger and George Nicholas Swanger.

Mrs. Metzger is survived by three daughters - Betty Darlene Effimoff of Houston, Texas, Ann Trapp of Loveland, Ohio and Connie Frances Metzger of Batavia, Ohio; one son - David Metzger of Charleston, South Carolina; seven grandchildren - Jackie Rhone of Angleston, Texas, Elizabeth Meier of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brooke Hawkinson of Austin, Texas, Scott Trapp of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jonathon Metzger of Westminster, Maryland, Kathryn Metzger of Charleston, South Carolina and Patrick Metzger of Charleston, South Carolina; four great grandchildren - Blake and Megan Rhone and Owen and Ella Meier; and one sister - Ida Combess of West Union, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 5, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Jim Clark will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2 - 5 P.M. and also Monday morning from 10 - 11 A.M. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Clermont County M.R.D.D., c/o Administration office, 4370 Malsbary Rd., Blue Ash, Ohio 45242.
