Frances Hamilton

Mrs. Edith Frances Hamilton, age 89 of Ripley, Ohio, died Monday, October 2, 2006 at The Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation center near Ripley, Ohio. She was baptized into the Ripley Church of Christ at the age of fourteen on Easter Sunday in 1930, where she has remained a member all her life. She was retired from dairy farming and from U.S. Shoe. She was born on November 10, 1916 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Isaac and Ethel Mae (Adams) Truitt. She was also preceded in death by her first and second husband, Paul Finney and Hugh Hamilton; three stepchildren - Hugh Davis, Jr., Dorothy Helen and Bobbie Jean; nine sisters - Lyda Florence Kirk, Edith Frances Finney, Bessie Catherine Truitt, Josie Irene Truitt, Zeda Thelma Dempsey, Lillie Mae Simpson, Dorothy Lewella Truitt, Virginia Anne Truitt and Mary Elizabeth Truitt; three brothers - Junior Lewis Truitt, Charles Leslie Truitt and William Elworth Truitt.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by one stepson, Dickie Finney of North Carolina; three sisters - Deloris Evelyn York of Felicity, Ohio, Pauline Jean Scaggs of Georgetown, Ohio and Janice Lee Souder of Felicity, Ohio; one brother, Robert Marion Truitt of Cincinnati, Ohio. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Cahall funeral home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family at:
