Florence Yates

Mrs. Florence Yates, age 95 of Ripley, Ohio formerly of Troy, New York died Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky. Mrs. Yates was a custodian at the Brittenkill School District in Troy, New York. She was born on May 9, 1910 in Brunswick, New York the daughter of the late August and Amelia (Mittlestead) Braskowitz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Atwood Yates.

Mrs. Yates is survived by one son - James Yates and wife, Cathy of Ripley, Ohio; three grandchildren - Patricia Ann McDermott of Rhode Island, James Yates III and Sue Ann Case both of Colonie, New York and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Graveside services will then be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Eagle Mills Cemetery in Brunswick, New York. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Friday at the Riverview Funeral Home in Troy, New York.
