Faye Smith

Ursula “Faye” Smith, age 73 of Blanchester, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Sodality – St. Patrick Catholic Church. Faye was born June 13, 1951 in Bardstown, Kentucky the daughter of the late James Ules and Mary Ursula (Newton) Riggs. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers – Russell, Harold, James, Cyril, David and Timothy Riggs and five sisters – Grace Flannery, Mary Theresa Fox, Bernadine Smith, Elizabeth Smith and Beulah Burgin.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband – James Smith; four children – Melissa Pfeiffer and husband Jon of Midland, Ohio, Travis Smith and wife Denise of Blanchester, Ohio, Jesse Smith and wife Jennifer of Lynchburg, Ohio and Gene Smith and wife Beth of Blanchester, Ohio; twelve grandchildren – Carrie Smith of Blanchester, Ohio, Andy Smith of Midland, Ohio, Brittney Simmons and husband Logan of Lynchburg, Ohio, Luke Smith of Blanchester, Ohio, Brandon Peters and wife Roshell of Lynchburg, Ohio, John Lake of Blanchester, Ohio, Madison Lake and Savannah Smith both of Lynchburg, Ohio and Josie, Jude, Madeline and Cory Pfeiffer all of Midland, Ohio and one great-granddaughter – Mallory Simmons of Lynchburg, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 130 Stone Alley, Fayetteville, Ohio. Fr. Cordonnier will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Interment will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ohio.
