Evelyn Mae (Waddle) Coomer

Evelyn Mae Coomer, age 90 of Mt.Orab, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She was a homemaker, a member of the Mt.Orab Church of Christ and loved her family with all her heart.  Evelyn was born April 4, 1933 in Alcalde, Kentucky the daughter of the late John Wesley and Vivie (Sears) Waddle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years – Bob M. Coomer in 2020 whom she married June 23, 1951; two sons – Larry M. Coomer and James A. Coomer; two brothers and sisters-in law – Charles Waddle and wife Roberta and Walter Waddle and wife Carolyn and one sister and brother-in-law – Mary Katherine Cox and husband Bud.

Mrs. Coomer is survived by two children – Janice M. Gregory and husband Dairl of Lake Loreli, Ohio and Robert E. Coomer and wife Tabby of Batavia, Ohio; two daughters-in-law – Pamela Coomer of Fayetteville, Ohio and Linda Coomer of Mt.Orab, Ohio; four grandchildren – Jessica McDaniel (Jake Eastham) of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Gary Gregory (Ryan) of Batavia, Ohio, James Coomer of North Carolina and David Coomer (Norm Johnson) of Richmond, Virginia; five great grandchildren – Brianna Gregory, Ryanna Cox, Cody Mahlenkamp (Kryssi), Andrew Bolton (Essie) and Keali Bolton (Stephen) and three great-great grandchildren – Audrinna Mahlenkamp, Isabelle Bolton and Jayce Bolton.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Joe Strunk will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, Kentucky at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
