Eva Ernst Palmer

Mrs. Eva Ernst Palmer, age 83, of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Palmer was born April 10, 1921 the daughter of the late Gus A. and Mary Minta (Monroe) Ernst. She married Frank Shepherd on April 15, 1944. They operated Day & Nite Garage for 17 years in Georgetown. After his death, she became a nurse and was employed by the Christ Hospital for 7 years. She married Leslie Palmer on December 20, 1969. She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Orab V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 Auxiliary, a life long active member of the St. George Catholic Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Shepherd, second husband, Leslie Palmer and one brother, Thomas Ernst.

Mrs. Palmer is survived by her niece, Eva Howell and husband Lewis of Georgetown, Ohio; great nephew, Greg Howell and wife Anna of Mt. Orab, Ohio; and two great great nephews - Nicholas and Ethan Howell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 29, 2004 at the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. Monday morning at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the St. George Catholic Church, 501 E. State Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
