Eugene Winfield Settles

Eugene Winfield Settles, age 104, of Ripley, Ohio died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Settles was a farmer, roofer and member of the Beebe Chapel C.M.E. in Ripley, Ohio. He was born in Red Oak, Ohio on August 17, 1902 the son of the late Edward and Florence (Henderson) Settles. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruena (Green) Settles.
Mr. Settles is survived by two daughters - Arietta Washington of Ripley, Ohio and Emma J. Brooks of Ripley, Ohio; two sons - Ronald E. Settles of Cincinnati, Ohio and Rev. James E. Settles of Ripley, Ohio; 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Beebe Chapel C.M.E., 438 Main Street, Ripley, OH 45167.
