Emma Lou Fetters

Emma Lou Fetters, age 85 of Sardinia, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Batavia Nursing Care Center in Batavia, Ohio. She taught English at the Mt.Orab High School for many years before going into the missionary field in Africa and was a member of the Sardinia Church of the Nazarene in Sardinia, Ohio. Emma was born May 23, 1939 in Concord, Kentucky the daughter of the late Herman and Gladys (Bradford) Fetters. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters – Marion Fetters, Darlene Harvey, Doug Fetters, Wendell Fetters, Jim Fetters and Debbie Fetters.
Ms. Fetters is survived by seven brothers and sisters – Charles Fetters of Taylorsville, Ohio, Diana Motter of Chuckey, Tennessee, Bernie Fetters and wife Judy of Mowrystown, Ohio, Danny Fetters and wife Janie of Sardinia, Ohio, Ronnie Fetters of Leesburg, Ohio, Rick Fetters and wife Patty of Mowrystown, Ohio and Terry Fetters of Mt.Orab, Ohio; four sisters-in-law – Helen Fetters of West Union, Ohio, Vickie Fetters of Buford, Ohio, Rosalee Fetters-Hardyman of Dayton, Ohio and Geneva Fetters of Williamsburg, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews and her missionary African children.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the Sardinia Church of the Nazarene, 135 Sardinia-Mowrystown Road, Sardinia, Ohio 4517. Keven Mason will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Buford Cemetery in Buford, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral in Mt.Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
