Elwood Truman Grant

Elwood Truman Grant, age 78 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, December 21, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Grant was retired from Cincinnati Milacron and was a Korean War Army veteran. He was born on November 18, 1929 in Felicity, Ohio the son of the late Thomas Elwood and Marie (Jackson) Grant. He was also preceded in death by his wife Gladys Marie (Pharris) Grant; one daughter, Karen Grant, two grandsons, Jr. Delaney and Jarrel Thomas; four sisters and five brothers.

Mr. Grant is survived by seven daughters - Jewelene Commodore and Angela Brown both of Maysville, Kentucky, Diane Lightfoot and husband Tom, Pam Jones, Cheryl Lewis and husband Mike all of Georgetown, Ohio, Ginger Delaney of Columbus, Ohio and Michelle Grant of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons - David Delaney and wife Lee, Tommy Grant and wife Gigi and Dale Delaney all of Georgetown, Ohio; twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren; one sister - Jessie Watts of Forest Park, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Georgetown United Methodist Church. Revs. Mark Davis and Randy Burton will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery with veterans services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post#180. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
