Earl G. Zachman, age 90 of Ripley, Ohio died Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Zachman was a graduate of Wyoming High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended The Ohio State University. He was well known for his Western Auto Store and the Zachman Distributing Company in Ripley, Ohio. He served during World War 2 in the Army 8th Air Force for four years, two of which were served in England. He was a devoted member of Alcoholics Anonymous for fifty years. He was born on October 5, 1916 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Earl and Grace (Strasser) Zachman. He was also preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years - Miriam (Stivers) Zachman.

Mr. Zachman is survived by two sons - Thomas Zachman and his wife Jane of Ripley, Ohio and Richard Zachman of Hillsboro, Ohio; one daughter - Lisa Flannery and husband Ronald of Ripley, Ohio; six grandchildren - Laura Jamison, Elizabeth Orlando, Meghan Williams, Andrew Zachman and Katherine and Collin Flannery and five great grandchildren - Adycen Cooper-Williams, Logan Campbell, Andrew and Henry Jamison and Thomas Orlando.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Ripley Centenary United Methodist Church, 110 N. Second Street in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. James Settles will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery with veteran services by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post #367. If desired, memorials may be made to the church of your choice. The Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio is serving the family.
