Dorothy Ray (Brookbank) Garrison, age 77, of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Garrison was a homemaker, a member of the Higginsport Christian Church, Eastern Star Lodge, a   4-H advisor, council for Vocational Education at Southern Hills Career Center and recently became a member of the auto club with her 66 Chrysler New Yorker. She was born on May 30, 1928 in Higginsport, Ohio the daughter of the late Ray and Lena (Jones) Brookbank. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Garrison and a granddaughter, Crystal Garrison.

Mrs. Garrison is survived by three daughters - Pam Bruce and husband Roy, Melinda Dunkin and husband Steve and Sandy Bowling and husband Kenon, all of Georgetown, Ohio; two sons - Edward Ray Garrison and wife Mary of Hamersville, Ohio and Jarrell Garrison and wife Joanne of Port St. Lucie, Florida; 13 grandchildren - Eddie, Earl and Steve Garrison of St. Petersburg, Florida; Glenn Edward West of Honolulu, Hawaii; Kendra Carrington and husband Steve of Mt. Orab, Ohio; Joseph Garrison of West Palm Beach, Florida; Chad and Lynette Bruce of Georgetown, Ohio; Ryan and Todd Bruce of Georgetown, Ohio; RaeLena Cobb of Hamersville, Ohio, and Jeremy and Cody Dunkin of Georgetown, Ohio; 7 great grandchildren - Allyson Garrison, Darrow West, Austin Armacost, Calysta Crawford, Joseph Garrison, Sara Garrison and Toby Ray Bruce; and one brother, Donald Brookbank and wife, Doris of Higginsport, Ohio. She also leaves many family and friends, including lifelong friend and traveling companion, Jewell Lunsford of Higginsport, Ohio and, in recent years, her faithful companion and best friend has been her yorkie-poo, Corky.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Hennig will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
