Diane S. (Boyd) Evans

Diane Sue Evans, age 77 of Ameila, Ohio passed away peacefully Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Christ Hospital Hospice of Cincinnati Unit in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a retired secretary, member of the Sardinia Church of Christ in Sardinia, Ohio and a 1966 graduate of the Mt.Orab Local High School in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Diane was a devoted wife to Gene and the two were inseparable, a loving mother and grandmother, faithful friend but above all a good and faithful servant of God. She found her greatest joy in gardening, flowers, crafts, shopping, visiting with her friends and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Diane was born November 29, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late James W. “Bill” and Ruth (Unger) Boyd. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years - Eugene Ferdinand “Gene” Evans in 2023 and one daughter – Jennifer Fiscus in 2007.

Mrs. Evans is survived by two daughters – Rhonda Reiser and husband Steven of Amelia, Ohio and Julie Schuckmann and husband Douglas of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; one son-in-law – Aric Fiscus and wife Rebecca of Sardinia, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Phillip “P.J.” Fiscus, Chloe Lorenz, Samuel Brown, Brady Hoeper, Robert Kelly, Jennifer Reiser and Dylan and Daniel Haigwood; two great grandchildren – Rowan and Lorelei Manning; one brother – Richard “Dickie” Boyd of Mt.Orab, Ohio and many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Sardinia Cemetery in Sardinia, Ohio. Family and friends are encouraged to attend. Kevin Hamilton will officiate. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
