Dean Alden Long
July 29, 1941 — July 4, 2007
Dean A. Long, age 65 of Russellville, Ohio died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Long was a farmer, a carpenter, an Army Viet Nam veteran and a member of the Local #2 Carpenters Union. He was born on July 29, 1941 in Vanceburg, Kentucky the son of the late John and Rebecca (Thacker) Long. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Long, one brother, Charles Long and one sister, Elvie Garrett.
Mr. Long is survived by three children - Perry Long, Brady Long and Jaime Long all of Russellville, Ohio; eleven grandchildren - Destanie, Alysa, Hollie, Kaelyn, Tristan, Austin and Jarrett Long, Lynsie Whisman, Christopher Neal, Patience Phelan and Luke Mease; four sisters - JoAnn Carrington of Lake Waynoka, Ohio, Connie Myers of Georgetown, Ohio and Shirley Smith and Mary Terry both of Florida and one brother - Ray Long of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio.
