Daniel Harry Fithen

Daniel Harry Fithen, age 24 of Ripley, Ohio died Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Anderson Mercy Hospital.  He was a United States Navy Veteran and served aboard the U.S.S. Constellation during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Daniel was a full-time student at Northern Kentucky University majoring in Radio and Television and a member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio.

Daniel was born July 3, 1980 in Georgetown, Ohio, the son of Danny D. and Martha (Goldsberry) Fithen of Ripley, Ohio.  He is survived by his grandparents, Frances Goldsberry of Ripley, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Slade of Georgetown, Ohio; great-grandmother India Parker of Maysville, Kentucky; eight aunts - Peggy McKinzie,  Patty Fithen, Sara Goldsberry and Lisa Flannery, all of Ripley, Ohio; Susan Cropper of Williamsburg, Ohio; Joyce Horton of Hamilton, Ohio;  Dorothy Ferris and Vickie Suttles, both of Georgetown, Ohio; six uncles - Billy Goldsberry, U.S. Air Force, Abilene, Texas; Rick Fithen of Hillsboro, Ohio; Eddie, Bruce and Tom Fithen, all of Georgetown, Ohio; Larry Fithen of Ripley, Ohio and many cousins.

Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfathers - Harry Fithen and William Goldsberry; great-grandfather, Douglas Parker and aunt, Faye Fithen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2004 at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio.  Rev. John Fisher will be the celebrant.  Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2004 from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Prayer services will be at 7:30 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio
