Clovis Earl Leiwig, Jr

M/Sgt. Clovis Earl Leiwig, Jr., Retired, age 77 of Ripley, Ohio died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at the V.A. Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran who retired from the service in 1962. He was born on May 23, 1927 in Carlisle, Ohio the son of the late Clovis Earl and Thelma M. (Taylor) Leiwig, Sr. He was also preceded in death by one son, Lt. Col. Jackson P. Leiwig, Retired and two brothers - Carroll Dale and Donald Leiwig.

Mr. Leiwig is survived by his wife, Betty (Brown) Leiwig; one son, Michael Leiwig of Baytown, Texas; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 25, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Edward Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 P.M. Sunday afternoon. Interment will be in Miami Cemetery in Waynesville, Ohio.
