Charles Walter Smitson
August 5, 1926 — July 31, 2005
Charles Walter Smitson, age 78, of Cincinnati, Ohio died Sunday, July 31, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Smitson was a truck driver and a World War II Army veteran. He was born in Higginsport, Ohio on August 5, 1926 the son of the late Thomas and Annie (Tucker) Smitson. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Mr. Smitson is survived by his wife of 61 years, Zella (Freeland) Smitson of Cincinnati, Ohio; three daughters - Sandra Lee Lamm and husband, Randy of Albright, West Virginia, Connie Sue Geier and husband, Lee of Cincinnati, Ohio and Deborah Faye Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son - Charles Ricky Smitson and special friend, Diane of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren - Steven and Ricky Geier, Charles Smitson, Rachel Casey and Daniel Johnson; and six great grandchildren - Sasha, Sydney and Sophie Geier, Brenden, Brookelyn and Barrett Casey.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Randall J. Lamm will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Higginsport Cemetery in Higginsport, Ohio.
