Charles David Sharp

Mr. Charles David Sharp, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio, died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at The Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army WW II Veteran. Mr. Sharp worked at The News Democrat for forty eight years and served as Editor for most of that time. He also owned The Red Fox in Georgetown for over twenty five years. Mr. Sharp was born on January 31, 1919 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Charles D. and Ada (Wood) Sharp. He was also preceded in death by his wife Marjorie (Mitchell) Sharp.

Mr. Sharp is survived by one son, Mitch Sharp and wife Betsy of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter, Dana Sharp of Georgetown, Ohio; four grandchildren, Darby Sharp of West Chester, Ohio; Michelle Sharp of Cincinnati, Ohio; Geoffrey Sharp of Georgetown, Ohio and Brittany Brammel of Georgetown; one great grandchild, Alex.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. Herb Norris will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown. Memorial contributions may be made to: Brown Co.
