Charles Edward Ellison, age 69 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, January 15, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Ellison was retired from Cincinnati Milacron after thirty years of service and was the owner of the Chem-Tec Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Company. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force and was a member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church, a thirty year member of the Georgetown Fire Department, the Georgetown Lions Club, was a Boy Scout leader and a member of the Brown County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ellison was born on January 26, 1937 in Duncansville, Ohio the son of the late William Arthur and Mary Bernice (Burns) Ellison. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and Ronald Ellison and one nephew, Douglas Canter.
Mr. Ellison is survived by his wife of forty-eight years - Elizabeth Jane (Ellis) Ellison; one son - Mark Ellison and wife Natalie of Blanchester, Ohio; two daughters - Kimberly Ellison of Ripley, Ohio and Staci Hatten and husband Jeff of Georgetown, Ohio; seven grandchildren - Matthew Ellison, Sarah Ellison and Ely Hatten all of Georgetown, Ohio, Danielle Currey and Matt Pittman both of Lebanon, Ohio, and Adam Pittman and Jordan Pittman both of Blanchester, Ohio; one great grandchild - Leah Rose Currey; one brother - Gerald Ellison and wife Masako of Georgetown, Ohio; four sisters - Juanita Whitmer and husband Darold of Trotwood, Ohio, Ruth Morris of Lafayette, Louisiana, Dorothy Kennedy of Mentor, Ohio and Genevieve Canter and husband Raymond of Hamersville, Ohio; sisters-in-law - June Ellison of St. Louis, Missouri, Helen Grimes of Decatur, Ohio and Ruth Drummond and brother-in-law Jerry Drummond of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Georgetown United Methodist Church. Revs. Pete and Carla Warren and Bill Krody will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio with veterans services. If desired, memorials may be made to the Georgetown United Methodist Church, 217 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121 or to the Georgetown Life Squad, P.O. Box 184, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
