Calvin Roundtree

Calvin Azariah Roundtree, age 16 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a student at Skyward Academy in Montgomery, Ohio. Calvin was a loyal friend and loved both his family and friends fiercely.  He was quick to defend them and always willing to help someone out in need.  Calvin loved making everyone laugh with his wonderful and creative sense of humor. Calvin was born May 1, 2007 in Hamilton, Ohio the chosen and beloved son of Darryl and Cathy (McFarland) Roundtree, II of Cincinnati, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by one brother – Samuel Roundtree in 2022 and maternal grandmother – Sandie McFarland in 2019.

In addition to his parents, Calvin is survived by one sister – Bethany Roundtree of Cincinnati, Ohio; maternal grandfather – Fred McFarland of Batavia, Ohio; paternal grandparents – Darryl and Connie Roundtree, Sr. of Newark, Ohio and several aunts, uncles, cousins and very special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, 3365 US Highway 50, Fayetteville, Ohio 45118.  Visitation for close family and friends will start at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday at the church. Public visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the Plainview Cemetery in Newtonsville, Ohio immediately following the services. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
