Billy Ray Brandenburg

Billy Ray Brandenburg, age 84 of Mt.Orab, Ohio died Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a retired project coordinator for the Western Brown School District, member of Gideon’s International, member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Mt.Orab, Ohio and an avid fisherman. Bill was born November 11, 1937 in Beattyville, Kentucky the son of the late Nelson and Reba Brandenburg. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister – Myrtle Carmack.

Mr. Brandenburg is survived by his wife of 64 years – Linda (Owens) Brandenburg whom he married August 7, 1957; two children -  Kevin Brandenburg and wife Wanda of Charlotte, Tennessee and Kim Smith and husband Eddie of Mt.Orab, Ohio; four grandchildren – Chris Brandenburg and wife Kirsten of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, Ashley Humes and husband John of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Jennifer Mattio and husband Pete  and Ashley Fleet and husband Josh both of Dickson, Tennessee; eleven great grandchildren and one sister – Paula Brandenburg of South Lebanon, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, 704 South High Street, Mt.Orab, Ohio 45154. Jonathan Lawler will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Mt.Orab Cemetery in Mt.Orab, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
